About this event
The Annual Turkey Shoot is one of the oldest traditions in Exeter and a highlight of our fall calendar. Now in its 54th year, the event brings together shooters of every skill level for friendly shotgun target competition. Rounds run throughout the day with turkeys, hams, and other prizes awarded to winners. Food and refreshments are available on site, and every dollar raised supports our youth education and conservation programs.

Rules & what to know
- Open to shooters 16 and up, younger participants welcome with a parent or guardian
- Shotguns and ammunition available on site, or bring your own per range guidelines
- Eye and ear protection required at all times on the line
- All firearms handled only at the firing line under range officer supervision
- The range officer has final say on all calls and safety matters
Frequently asked
Do I need to register in advance?
No. Walk-ins are welcome all day. Simply check in at the registration table when you arrive.
Can I bring my own shotgun?
Yes, you're welcome to bring your own shotgun and ammunition as long as it meets range guidelines. Loaner shotguns are also available.
Is it family friendly?
Absolutely. Food, prizes, and a welcoming atmosphere make this a favorite for the whole family.
What do winners receive?
Prizes include turkeys, hams, and seasonal awards depending on the round.
